I have an opportunity to do a table setting for a fundraiser salad luncheon.
Here are the details:
We need volunteers to provide table settings--china, glassware, silverware, centerpiece and table favors for 8.  A round table and white tablecloth will be provided.  Then let your imagination soar--seasonal, holidays, destination, bridal, baby, etc.
There will be a Spring Salad Supper buffet served on clear plastic plates with your china as the charger plate.  Water and/or tea glasses will be needed and your silverware.  Server for butter, sugar packets and salt and pepper shakers should also be brought.

I first thought about borrowing dots place settings and Stemware but then I got the idea to use the Outdoor entertaining.  I will have to buy a set (I sold the set I had to a friend so I could borrow 2 settings). Or, I have almost enough White SA pieces to go that way.  Also, Give me ideas for the center piece. I have the Outdoor party sticks collapsable bowl (am also earning the new ones) and the trifle bowl.

Any thoughts?
Melanie

Oooh!  What about 1 set of corn cobb nobs each for the favors?!!

An umbrella over the table would be sooooo cool, but probalby not practical and maybe not even possible!

Here's a cool idea for the Trifle Bowl....CLICK HERE

A picnic basket filled with some BBQ tools would make a cute centerpiece too!

Great idea. I LOVE Room by Room!  I miss it.  I am thinking you could even put the party sticks in that grass!   I am also in a business networking group with a florist so I could get her to cut me a deal on a bouquet done in the trifle.  I was thinking about getting crafty with the Citrus Peeler and Quick Cut to make "flowers" for table favors.
I'm still undecided if the White SA stuff would be better but since it will be in March people will be thinking about getting back outside.

Melanie,

At a fair this summer I bought a citronella candle in a small sand pail and stuck the party sticks in it (used glass beads to cover the candle).  You could then put small flower pots, sand pails or glasses in them with flowers, party favors with your business card, etc.  You could use the collapsible bowl as a base to hold the candle (laying flat of course).

I like the idea of the Simple Additions, but if the plastic plates they're using are round, they may not sit properly depending on the size.  I would go with the outdoor plates and glasses.

HTH!
