I'm making up a 50's Sock Hop theme show flyer for my theme show binder, which I hope to have put completely togher my my first March show. I want to be able to say, New Season, New products, New program, New themes! New new new! Hoping that will get people interested or at least curious! So what I'm looking for is just recipe ideas. I have all the cookbooks, just need some ideas! Thought about a root beer floats, but that's about all my mind can get out right now! Also thought about TV dinners, but that kind of defeats my purpose of saying The Pampered Chef focuses on bringing families back to the table for dinner! Any other thoughts? Michelle |

Well I'm thinking drive-ins & burger joints - what would Ralph and Potsie eat? Cheeseburgers in our cookware, slice the tomatoes with USG, Lettuce with Crinkle Cutter, make cupcakes in muffin pan & decorate with EAD? Ummm, I think it's a great theme but my brain is on "slow" mode so the ideas are just not coming. ChefLeisa |

Didn't I read somewhere that the mini loaf pan could double for warming a TV dinner-style meal up in the oven? Meat(loaf) veggies, dessert (apple crisp?,) and bread? We love root beer and other floats -- it's a tradition at our Open House every month (and the kids' favorite part of the show!) You could do old-fashioned ice cream sundaes (or burger) toppings in the Chillzanne server, too. Don't forget the Hold-n-Slice or FC for the onions. Cheese knife for reaching in to the pickle jar. Still thinkin... sounds like a blast from the past! Please share your flyer, if you like. Cheers |

Would you have the burgers already done up? What about those ones that are pre-pattied? Think you could pop em on a bar pan in the oven? I'll share the flyer as soon as I get the final recipe stuff worked out! Coming soon to a documents section near you.... Michelle |

Ah, Michelle, that is really neat-o! The menu fries reminded of one thing that really sold me on stoneware -- the fact that I don't have to turn fried and breaded foods over halfway through baking! That alone is worth the price to me -- never turning an individual fish filet, or worse yet, bunch o' tater tots flying all over the place while the oven's heating up the kitchen and everyone's waiting for dinner! I just tried bacon, sausage & eggs last night in my new bar pan -- WOW! I can't wait to try burgers in it and the pre-pattied ones might be the easiest and most uniform to bake for a show. Oh, btw, I know I'm a little late on the Mardi Gras theme, but I came across your flier in the docs while I was there. The question about recipes actually came to mind because I just purchased my own copy of All the Best (yes, my first PC cookbook besides the SB's, so if anyone appreciates the collection here, it's me!) and the ring recipes reminded me of King Cake. Cream cheese filling and fruit filling, here I come! Also made some lasagna the other night and got the brainstorm that the meat sauce (made a little thicker) would make a delicious filling as well. Thanks again for the fabulous flier! Penne P.S. Should it be Cadillacs and Diners without the apostrophes? Plurals and possessives were on somebody's list of Pet Peeves on WLPC2, so it's on my mind. Offer some Sprite for those of us former Coke-a-holics who gave up caffeinated drinks (no Death by Chocolate for me, either, just an occasional peanut M&M or two ~ I've discovered so many other flavors out there now! ; ) HAND-pda |

Btw, our kids found out that Mug Root Beer has no caffeine if you decide to go for the float idea! Cheers |

I changed the "diner's" to "diners" but when I tried to change "Cadillac's" to "Cadillacs" spell check picked it up and wanted me to change it back. So I left that one. Hmmm? Michelle |
