Here's what the catalog says:

Makes six cakes with one standard box of cake mix. Decorate each one differently and serve unique, individual desserts for a party, or give them as gifts. Six wells, 1 1/4-cup volume per well, 4 1/2 inch diameter.

What do you say?

I just love this pan! What I use it for mostly is individual coffee cakes when I go on trips. Everyone loves them! Mini Monkey breads at Christmas last year was a hit too!

Individual Egg Casseroles

  • Whisk up about 10 eggs in your classic batter bowl.
  • Add 1/4 cup milk.
  • Thne toss in anything else you would like in your eggs.  I did browned sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green bell pepper, and chopped onions.
  • Stir well.
  • Spritz the molds and then ladle in the egg mixture.  I filled them half full.
  • 350 degrees for about 25 minutes (or until set) and voila!  Fantastic looking/tasting individual baked eggs!  Popped out very easily.

<o:p>Here are some ideas that I copied off an old WLPC thread talking about this product....Not sure who the original authors are (sorry) but there are some great ideas!</o:p>

<o:p> </o:p>

Well, I have a new idea for the LAZY CONSULTANT Mini Fluted Pan idea post...LOL

Yesterday I had a show.  The show was to start at <st1:time Hour="11" Minute="30">11:30</st1:time>.  I had a 1/2 hour drive...and needed 1/2 hour to set up for a new recipe.  Mind you...The time was <st1:time Hour="10" Minute="0">10:00AM</st1:time> and I still had to keep with my promise to make pancakes for breakfast for my family.  LOL  I had a strange morning.

So I made some Bisquick pancake mix in my large batter bowl and dumped the mix into my fluted pan.  I stuck this in the oven for about 18 minutes at 400 degrees...no preheating.  LOL

I pulled my goodies out and dumped fruit and syrup on these fluted pancakes and my family thought I was wonderful.  By then I was dressed and walked out the door.

How often can we throw breakfast in the oven, get ready and still be on time?  Fluted pancakes were delish!  I made this AM too!

******************************

These really were very yummy!  I've tried them with sliced peaches on top...mmmmm....

Another from that thread....

Well I have a great idea for you to make in the Mini-Fluted pan.  I made meatloaf mix and put them in the pan and cooked about 35 minutes.  Took them out of oven and made mashed potatoes & gravy.  I turned the meatloaves over onto a plate and with the large scoop I put 2 scoops of mashed potatoes and poured gravy out of small batter blowl over the top.  They where a hit at our house, even my kids ate it.

Another.....

Another idea especially since it is still hot here:  You can make brownie sundas in the min-fluted pan bake the brownies.  The when cooled turn over and in the hole drop scoops of ice cream, hot fudge sauce and cool whip out of easy accent decorater, don't forget the nuts and the cherry.

<o:p></o:p>

Here's another idea....

I did this for a show Fri night.  Made devil's food cake in the mini fluted pan.  After they cooled, I loosened them and turned them out to make sure they weren't stuck in the pan.  Put them back in their little wells and took them to the show like that.  Then at the show, popped them out onto SA square platter (got a few "OOOHS" and "Oh, aren't they cute").  Demo'd the glaze for the Turtle Fudge Skillet Cake (4 squares semi-sweet baking chocolate and 1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping melted in small micro cooker for about 1 to 2 minutes).  Drizzled the glaze on them and added chopped pecans (Food chopper). Served with ice cream. Super easy demo. They looked beautiful and tasted delicious.  You can get 4 small slices per cake.

Another from that thread....

I have been away for a few days and just now got the chance to read this.  I couldn't believe that no one thought of the Cornish hens until that last post.  I always have to dirty two pans when I make cornish hens because my husband likes his spicy and I can't handle even the dippings from it.  Needless to say I was so excited to learn that you can do your hens in them and that way we can season it the way we each like.  It would be great for a large dinner party.  I still have mine in the box because I have been so busy lately but it is coming out today.  I love this topic.  I think this will be my fav new product.

I wondered if I could cook cornish hens in it.  Using the same idea as the fluted pan.  I had a six couple meal planned in my head to do as a couples show.  Cornish hens in the mini-fluted pan, steamed veggies in the large micro cooker, twice baked potatoes using the muffin pan and baked <st1:State><st1:place>alaska</st1:place></st1:State> for desert.  Alot of work but most of it woudl be done ahead of time AND if you had the right 6 couples could really be a good show.  Would need to have six COMMITTED couples.  What do you all think of that idea?

How about turning the stone upside-down and baking some sort of bread bowls on top?  ...

I actually tried this and it didn't work out so great.  They were too close together I think.

I try to bring a cake to work when it's someone's birthday and last year we had two guys with the same date so I made each a Chocolate Tiramisu cake.  I cut Devil's Food cakes in half, brushed the coffee mixture on, then the filling and then turned the top so the rounded part was in the center and repeated.  They were so surprised.  One of the guys asked me for it again this year.  (I froze the rest of the cakes for later)
