Here's a Tip I just got from my upline dir Mary Grant:

How To FIX the Stainless Steel Cookie Scoops!

Thanks to Director Angela Schmidtgall (and her Engineer husband for sharing) for sharing with the director's loop.

My husband, the engineer, showed me how to do this and I'm so glad! I've fixed many of them. Hopefully I can explain:

You need a pair of needle nose pliers (the larger ones are too big to get a good grip). Slightly squeeze the handle and while it is squeezed, use the Pliers to grip the outer part that moves along the "gear". While you have that pulled out, release the handle and the inner bar should go back into alignment. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get it right, so keep at it!

Thank you!!  I've been trying to fix that thing for a month.  It was my mom's, and I broke it makeing a baby ice cream cone for my little boy.
