The advantages and Tax advantages of working at home

A typical day for me starts with getting my family up, cooking breakfast, dropping my 2 children off at school, as my husband heads off to his traditional business he owns and loves, a cabinet shop.

I then usually pick up the house, you know, dishes, make beds etc…From there I usually grab a glass of juice and head for my home office. Once settled I click on the TV to the Home shopping Network, QVC or the Food Network …so how is that for a visual of a hard day at work? Ha!

I make my calls to prospects or leads, listen in on company conference training calls, train my business partners, answer many calls as I return all of my e-mails from leads and partners.
I do this until lunchtime, my husband and I meet somewhere or he comes home for lunch daily, it is nice to have time together.

Around 2:30 I leave to run errands and pick up my kids from school. We come home, I fix them a snack, help with homework, and once they have settled into an after school TV show or activity.
I head back into my office which is just 3 steps out the back door of our home, I am set up with an intercom system so the kids can call me any time. I continue doing 3-way calls with my team and calling leads until about 6:00PM and then I head in to cook my family dinner and spend the evening with my husband and family.

Really tough day don’t you think? Now here are some great benefits of working at home:

I am with my family!

I can work in my Nightgown if I want to! (And I do).

I can do anything I want to with my daily time; I can schedule my time off!

Every trip I take is a write off! (I always talk about my business to someone!I can have lunch out or at home with my husband or a friend anytime, any day!I can take a nap if I want to! (I do this as often as I can get away with it)!

I have many tax advantages working from home! Here is a link you MUST look into if you have a home office, make sure you are getting all of your tax advantages!http://www.taxreductioninstitute.com Home Business Tax Info.
For example…Mileage, office supplies, office equipment, Internet provider, telephone, travel, entertainment, meals just to name a few. FYI do you know if you work a typical job your throwing money out the window each day on your way to work? Because you can’t write off that mileage at 36.5 cents per mile…however if you are going to have lunch with someone that day and talk about your home business, you now get to write off the trip to and from work! So I would talk to someone daily if that were the case! Otherwise you are throwing hard earned dollars right out the window!

Keep a DIARY/JOURNAL of who you ate with, your mileage, your meal, with the receipts in an envelope in the back. Do this daily! Even leads are a business expense.

You must be looking to profit with your company if you are to get these write offs. In other wards, if you are not on auto-ship if you’re a product driven company then you MUST be in order to prove on your schedule C that you are in pursuit of a profit, otherwise it will be null and void. So play to WIN!!

I know how blessed I am! I know you can all work full-time from home if that is what you wish for, you CAN do it. BE UNSTOPABLE!

"FYI do you know if you work a typical job your throwing money out the window each day on your way to work? Because you can’t write off that mileage..."

I believe for the most part this is true, but if you "work your business" and then go to work, you can write off that mileage because it is then considered as a commute to a 2nd job.  I was told this could be as simple as making a few phone calls or sending an email, putting together host packets, etc.
