CONCENTRATION
"On the way to work, concentrate on the way, not the work." --Jim Rohn
It happens all the time. People get excited about an idea (or their new business) and set big goals and have great dreams. When you ask them what they want to accomplish, they can tell you quite clearly.
Then weeks, even days later (sometimes hours), they are no longer focused and do not concentrate on what they really want. With that, they have drifted away from ever being able to accomplish their dreams and goals.
While it is difficult to concentrate, all of us would do well to remember that concentration is what will cause us to accomplish much, whether it is economic results or otherwise. Focusing puts all of our attentions onto that which we want to accomplish, and that unleashes the power we need to carry it out.
When we try to do too much, we take valuable energy from the task at hand, and very often we fail to accomplish anything at all. What do you need to concentrate on? Do you want to build a team? You need to focus on sharing your opportunity! Do you need more bookings? Concentrate on filling your calendar. Then, even more importantly, follow through on the action it takes to achieve your mission.
This week, take some time each and every day to concentrate on what you want to accomplish. Utilize the power hour system. If you can only give 15 minutes, so be it. But keep in mind that the longer you keep at it, the greater the results.
Focus on the job at hand. Don't let yourself be distracted. Concentrate . . . and see your dreams become a reality!
