Just passing on another idead I got from another group:
You go to an office, friend's house, whatever and tell them to have 10 GUESTS, you'll show 10 PRODUCTS in just 10 MINUTES. Works EXCELLENT for those busy hospitals/dr's offices!!! :o) You generally can get a few bookings and several orders from the 10 in 10 shows.
Idea gleaned from a Tara Bradley. Sounds like a slightly different version of the Pamper A Business theme but in this case you're actually showing off some product. Wow! And talk about having to be LIGHTNING FAST with your demo! LOL Anyhoot, have fun with it! Marian PS How about we add a list to this thread on the Top Ten Things you would actually show off for this 10-in-10 Show?! |

Top Ten Things 1. Rice Cooker (start cake 1st) (doesn't it only take 8-9 minutes to cook) 2. Whisk 3. Food Chopper (chop nuts) 4. Cutting Board 5. Handy Scraper 6. Santoku Knife (Chop chocolate) 7. Prep bowls (toppings) 8. Easy Accent Decorator 9. Simple additions or Outdoor Party Plates (to serve on) 10. Platter or Bamboo Carving Board or Lg. SA Square (to put cake on when done) What do you think? |

Hey Jenny, this is great! So I'm assuming you'd be making a Rice Cooker cake in that 10 minutes? If so, what kind? Do you have a particular recipe you'd be making? Also, how about throwing in a piece of stoneware? Wonder how you could manage that? Oh! Another thing I'd be concerned about is the uncertainity of even having access to a microwave, let alone what kind, how old, etc....KWIM? Just trying to trouble shoot here & eliminate any obstacles. This really sounds do-able, & I'd love to see how we can do it! Keep the list & ideas comin'! The more the merrier! Marian |

Just had a thought.... What about doing the cake just BEFORE you leave for this show & then just turn it out & do the finishing touches while you're there. Or maybe you already had this in mind, Jenny? LOL |

Hey Marian, I hadn't thought it through that far. I started listing the tools I thought should be demoed, then thought maybe they should be going to some conclusion, like a finished dish. You raised some good questions. You could always flip the cake out onto the lg bar pan. I've never made a rice cooker cake, so don't have a preference. It could be like the cucumber/lime demo, where the demonstration doesn't directly reflect what the food item is. Then they could be eating during the ten minutes you are demo-ing. Might save time if they are in a hurry. This is a good exercise. It will also lead to demo ideas for the quick, office lunch time shows. Thanks for starting this thread! --Jenny |

Another thought, (see what you started Marian?) Maybe this is two threads. What are the ten best items to demonstrate in ten minutes? OR With what ten items can you demonstrate and finish a food item in ten minutes? |

I'm surprised no one else has added to this discussion! Any other suggestions? |

Ok, bringing this over here where it belongs. | | Here are some ideas of 10 items to show at a 10-10-10 show: 1. ultimate mandoline 2. stoneware 3. cookware 4. Simple Additions 5. Stainless Mixing Bowls 6. Cutlery 7. Cutting Boards 8. Easy Read Measuring Cups 9. Cookbooks 10. Pantry
I would take a skillet cake or microwave cake already done to this type of show and just show off the newest and latest of each of these items.
Hope this helps. kristine
