This challenge is for ALL of us.  For some it may not be a challenge at all because we’re used to doing it.  This week I CHALLENGE you to do your 3 contacts a day.  If you’ve been doing this just give us a report so others can SEE that it’s working.  I want to know what your 3 contacts resulted in for the week.  If you haven’t started doing this yetTODAY’S the day!

Remember 3 contacts a day should lead to 2 bookings a week and 1 recruit a month!  Your 3 contacts a day can be phone calls to past hosts, past customers, new customers, or someone you come into contact on your daily errands!  3 contacts a day.

This is going to be a challenge for me to be CONSISTENT in making these calls.  Several future challenges will be based on assuming we’re already doing our 3-2-1 plan.  So let’s make a habit of this NOW!  We can do this right?!  They say it takes 7 days to form a habit.  Let’s use this week's challenge to make this habit stick!

Go to our Documents section and print off the 3-2-1 tracking sheet to help you get started and report back DAILY with your results or give us a week all at once by Sunday.  And did you know there are 3 check boxes on your Consultant Planner designed JUST for the 3-2-1 plan?

YOU CAN DO THIS!!!  I BELIEVE IN YOU!!

Michelle's Note:  Just can't do 3 contacts a day?  I understand.  It's hard sometimes.  We all work our biz differently.  Don't sweat this challenge!  DO what works for YOU!  Make 1 contact a day...push yourself to make 2 a day...CHALLENGE yourself to do 3!  If it helps to start off slow...START SLOW!!  We're not competing here!

Well, I guess I'm all alone once again on the first day....

I babysat for a MOPS friend most of the day and then was shopping all evening while my kids went to see Horton Hears a Who!  So I took full advantage of this day with getting 3 contacts and I didn't even pick up the phone!!!

Contact #1  My MOPS friend was going to pay me for babysitting but I declined saying that I'm sure a time will come up when I may need something...by the way...have you ever thought about hosting a PC show?  She's not sure, she's super busy....

Contact #2 at the mall:  gave a biz card to the lady at Dillards who noticed my catalog bag.  She asked if she could just order anytime so I pointed out my contact info and PWS.

Contact #3 at Target:  Gave her a catalog and biz card and took her info.

Not so hard as I thought!!!  I just made the most of my time out and about today!  Guess I have to pick up the phone tomorrow though...

Michelle

Michelle, This is coming for me at the perfect time. My director has been trying to nudge me towards working on this. I'm planning on listening to the taped teleconference on this subject tomorrow. I've been having trouble with bookings lately and I'm hoping this might jumpstart my business again.

I'm looking forward to seeing what others have to say. I'll keep you posted once I try implementing it myself.

Ok, I shared the opp about booking a show with a guy from our Marriage Group tonight who just LOVES to cook AND just so happens to LOVE PC!! I'll be bringing a cattie for him to look at next Monday night. So we shall see!

I know I haven't made THREE contacts today, but at least I made ONE, right?

Ok, so have I done this right so far, Michelle?

Marian, there is no RIGHT or WRONG way to do this!  It's all about CHALLENGING yourself!  If you haven't been doing the 3-2-1 before then 1 contact a day can be a challenge!  Believe me, if the opportunities hadn't fell into my lap today I would be struggling!  So good for you!!

Just remember, 3 contacts a day is the challenge, but make it your own!  If 3 is too many then strive for one, push yourself for 2 and challenge yourself to do 3!!

Here's an idea for those of us who need accountability...
I roped my PC buddy into this.
If I complete the challenge, she will get me a small gift.
If she completes the challenge, I get her a gift.
It would really stink if one of us had to get the other a gift without getting one ourself.

I hope this shows up in the right place!

Okay, first - I still owe for last weeks challenge...oops...but will work on it and post.
Second, I've been with PC just a little over a year and have been unsuccessful at booking any live cooking shows, and very few catalog shows.  It has really been taking a toll on the self esteem and thought about throwing in the towel, but....
Today I contacted someone that was considering hosting a catalog show in April, instead - she booked a real live cooking show for May!!
Woohooo!!!  I'm positive it will hold too because she is a huge supporter for Breast Cancer awareness/issues.

Well, your fearless leader had an off day...so I only made 2 calls.  But I tell you this is the most CHALLENGING part of my biz...contacts...

1 contact about a recent adjustment and she's ok for now but thanks
1 contact about rescheduling a show from January...call back Wednesday so she can check her calendar.

I was at the bank today making a deposit.  The entire way there I'm going over a script in my head to say to the teller to leave a catalog and create some interest...  Well I go in.  It's so quiet.  I walk up and she's very nice and I didn't say a thing!!  She didn't add up my checks like usual, she just took my total and entered it in...so that threw me off and I guess I froze and chickened out!!!  Geesh...that could have been my #3!!!  Next time...

Well, when I first looked at the 2008 calendar and saw the checkboxes on EVERY DAY, I said, "Oh, no!!!!" (tim taylor style, if any of you remember Home Improvement) So I have been working so hard because those empty boxes just stare me in the face. Sometimes I get only 1 or 2; last thursday I had NINE!!!!!

I was really wanting to get my three tonight, but my one-year-old didn't feel well and I held and rocked him most of the evening. Bummer for my business, wonderful cuddles for mommy!

What a great challenge to help us grow our business, and start some accountability with each other.

Made my 3 calls for yesterday and today but was unable to post yesterday.

This is actually kind of FUN!!!  Yes I said it...FUN!!  I'm CHALLENGING myself to be better at my biz AND I'm reconnecting with people!!!  LOVE IT!!

Anyone else have progress to post?

Would anyone be interested in extending this challenge to NEXT WEEK?  I've been out of town  most of the last 4 weeks and am just now catching up on email.  I had started the year doing REALLY WELL with 3-2-1 but haven't done it since mid February because of traveling, etc.  This is Easter weekend but I'd love to start again Monday!  Anyone else????  Marilyn in GA
