She's indicted on first degree murder charges. That's all I know at this point, just got an email alert on it.

If I was that child's grandmother I'd have hung her mama up by the heels and beat the truth out of her way before now, if that was the only way of finding out what happened to that baby.

I've been trying to keep up with this.  Every time I see something with the grandparents giving interviews, they seem so cold and distant.  Like they know something...........

Did they strike you that way???  I mean the child lived with them and was gone for 1 month before it was reported.  Something hinky going on I'm afraid.

I can't imagine....how can your grandchild go missing, how can you go an entire month without seeing her, and do nothing?

Something is very wrong here. Something is wrong with all those people.

I heard on TV today that it was her father that turned her in.

It was actually her mother, but it doesn´t really matter at this point.

Shimmering Magnolia...I agree something is very wrong with this picture.  However, I don´t know if it is me not wanting the child to be dead or actually believing that the child is not dead...but I have a sneaking suspicion that the child was sold and that both the mother and grandmother know and aren´t talking.

Now call that crazy but it is a very good possibility I think she sold her child and I think she told her mother and she went along with it.  I certainly would not put it past her.

It could also be that the grandmother is going to have to face something that she can't face - her daughter may have killed her grandchild.

This has hit really close to home for me as it is a situation that we live in.  I have called DCFS on our X-DIL when I found X-DIL drunk and the grandkids running around outside. I sent them pictures that I found of her and her friends baring their butts and drinking with all the kids in the background.  I have called when she hasn't fed the kids and has no food but cereal and beer in the house.  I have called and called and called.
It could be the grandmother called and no one listened. And they accepted whatever excuse the daughter gave them. They finally took it serious when her father called and turned her in.

Blessed be

I can sympathize with you. My sister has an ex DIL like that. Piece of trash, she is, and a card-totin' psyho too boot. Seriously. The girl is mentally unbalanced, has been diagnosed with personality disorders. Getting DHR to do anything is really, really difficult.
