"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."
--Marcus Tullius Cicero

We survived several serious external threats. However I believe the most serious threat we face now, is internal.

I think the most serious threat we face now is internal and sounds alot like those who try to instill fear in others such as the op.

What is the matter Giorgio? Can't stand free speech? All I did was to post some sage and wise words. Just because you don't believe in free speech doesn't mean anything to me. In fact, I think less of people like you because you are probably for the fairness doctrine and wish people to never say anything that, whether be true or not, anything about anything. Just like a liberal.

I believe this as well. Soon these once every four years elections, that bring us so much intertainment, will be a thing of the past. It takes "two to tango" and the GOP has developed a terminal case of stupid.
