I think it would be agood idea if you were to ask people who were at the school between 1991 and 2000, if they had any photos of those years as there is not may on the site at all. Happy New year Siobhan. |

You recently posted some nice school photos from your year - I don't suppose you want to add a few names to faces - I think I can work out a few, but I figure I'd hopefully get you to do it right the first time ... Mike |

I have done the best that I can. I don't have the origianl photos at my home, they are with my Mum and Dad. Sorry if I have made any mistakes. |

Thanks Mrs Steel - Great job! To my mind Lauren Houlston is the person that changed the most since I left the school in 1990. Although since I met up with a few of the people in these pictures at the London reunion I guess that may have altered by perspective. Laura Morgan I think must have come to the school after I left. Any time Mr Blake. How are the plans going for the reunion? Would be great if we could arrange a few sporting events. If you need any help with the reunion just ask. I will have my hands full in a few weeks as I am expecting my second baby, but any time after that I should be free!!!! If I will ever be free again! |

James you changed a bit but still recognizable me thinks: James (center) do you remember when we won this inter-school trophy - you fell over at the start and then shot off like a rocket - we all thought you'd burn out and come last but as it turned out the x-country was very short by Quantock standards so you came in first and we won !! James won every cross country from what I remember ! Dean and myself cheated once (std route across greatwood camp) and James still beat us! However we were rumbled because we were too close behind James for it to of been a fair run ! |

Nathan, The secret was to have a sit down in Greatwood till you saw another person to go past before re-joining the run .... you bad bad boy!! I think you should getthe can at the next reunion - you comming? Phil Muir was our champion runner - I was always 2nd in the x-county runs - I used to be able to keep up with Phil till we hit one of the major hills, he skipped up like a moutain goat, I however used to have to take a break 1/2 way up!! mike |

Mike, depends on who is going to administer the caning as to whether I come to the next reunion! Saying that I am certainly hoping to come along to the next one. I'm not interested in a re-match on the x-country run though ! Nathan |

After all these years of thinking the likes of me Phil and Blakey were X country dudes was cos the rest couldn't be assed. Obviously we had to keep up the reputation of being great so had to run good everytime. Tips to any youngster going to ´school. Don't do well on your first X country cos if you run badly after they know you're skiving. Anyway youz lot I hope you've saved those beer tokens as we've years of catch up to play |

I assume that means you will be coming to the reunion then ? If not make sure you let us know when you are back in the 'mother' land so we can meet up. Nathan |

Very true James ... The next school I went to, I decide that I'd give up on the cross-country lark, I figured fencing would be a far better ruse!! However, I made the mistake of telling my new school mates that I had run in the county cross-country trails in Taunton only the year before. I reported to the house master (a Cornish man with a Welsh accent of all things!!) with grand plans of wielding a sword instead of running around muddy tracts, only to be greated with (in a welsh acent) " ... Oh no Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaakey, it's cross-country for you boy-o, Stevie and Clarkie have told me all about yooooooou !!!" So the moral is also to keep your mouth shut too!! Mike |
