Quantock Look-a-Likes: I've been thinking - wouldn't it be fun (esp. for those with far too much time on their hands) to find and post pictures of well known people that resembles the funny folk that graced the grounds of a certain Quantock School. The person who finds the best comedy 'Look-a-Like' will win the admiration of their Quantock Peers ?and I'll even buy that person a pint * Oh yes, let's keep this in the sprit of fun ?nothing too personal please !! Mike (* to be arranged at a latter date, and subject to the rules to posted in retrospect and no cash equivalent will be given)!!

Ernie and Bri .. I'm probably the only one who think the pair look-a-like, but the middle snap shot certainly accounts for the fact that we never see Bri with his eyes open in any photos !!! |

During the war I was head of the Gestapo for 8 years, nine nine it was 5 years nine nine, I was never head of the Gestapo, all the time during the war I was eating toads in the hole in Meinhead. Taunton is part of Meinhead already, I was not a loyal Nazi posing for posters. |

Dear Blakey, I must object to that Laurie waller writing Nazi poster slogans "Why don't you be a Smarty join the Nazi Party" Quantock boys Sunday march to church. Tin of beans found in kitchen. Laurie centre front row. The young Laurie meets "Uncle Adolf" Blakey please have this Laurie thrown out of this site !!!! Yours faithfully Major Phartinagale Gruntfuttock |

Sean, The picture that you posted ( Quantock Look-a-Like Andrew Farmer!) is really begining to disturb me now .... please, surely someone must have a pic they can post ..... preferably 4 pics and we can shunt it off the top 4 postion !!! I really hope messer Farmer (see D15 1974 Photo - I'd crop and paste, but I don't have the correct software at work) didn't truely resemble this troll like figure. Mike |

Mike, Yeah. He did look like that. He also had the disturbing habit of whipping his willy out in Mr Holmes' English class, drawing a smiley face on it, then arching himself back so he could move it along from side to side at desk level, so everyone sitting opposite and nearby could see. Got some laughs for a while, but one day, unknown to Andrew, Mr Holmes was standing right behind him when he did performed this trick. The resultant sharp slap on the end of 'Mr Wiggly' from Holmes' wooden yard ruler put an end to that trick.. |

Hey Mike, perhaps we could ask Messrs Neale, Perryman and any others from the 70's who will remember Andrew Farmer to say whether they see a resemblance with the photo? Sean |
