ETERNAL DARKNESS

I saw the clouds gathering last night

So dark and for brooding oh what a site

And as the sun reflected its rays

I saw your face

Not long ago we talked all night

Laughing and crying at all the fights

But in the end we came out on top

For we had the courage to stop

When you left I was so mad

I couldn’t believe you were really dead

You left me with a broken heart

I never thought we would ever part

My best friend bar none at that

Now where will I hang my hat

Your shoulder I used so much

Mine for you when you needed such

My strength in time of sudden weakness

My love, my life now gone completely

In my heart is that special place

Where you love I have placed

It is as strong today

As it was yesterday
