well I took Cooper to the vet. He was running an extremely high fever, but we coudn't find out why. Seems to be abdominal. They tried to take blood for lab tests to pinpoint the problem, but he wouldn't co-operate with them. He got an injection of antibiotics and I got a 10 day supply to give him, but so far not any better. I am to call Monday if no better and they will sedate him to get the blood sample. Don't know if he will make it that long, is so sick. I am so depressed at the thought of losing my best friend, but I don't have money for the expense of a long drawn out vet stay. And then it may be hopeless. Just really down now. |

Nancy, is there any way that Cooper could have got into some antifreeze leaking from your car? That will make them very sick very fast, but if found in time, it can be cured. So please check around and see if you can find anything. It looks to me as if Nancy is the only one in good shape around here, except for the sick kitty. I hope Meow is well and having a good time with her guy in England. Sheila, it's too bad that cherries don't seem to work for you since it is supposed to be a fast cure for gout. I know you have to be in a lot of pain and I'm sorry for that. My foot is coming along, but is much more painful this time than the surgery a year ago. I have some pain meds but one isn't enough, and since it has tylenol in it, they don't want me taking too much of it. I stopped by last night and talked to Bobby in the chat room for a while. Went by this afternoon, but no one was there. I might go back in a while and open it and see what happens. Have a happy Monday. |

Nancy I'm so sorry about you kitty! I went thru that a couple of years ago with my best friend snuggles, have him 13 yrs, didn't have the money for a vet either, his kidneys shut down, finally had to put him to sleep. so sad {{{{hugs}}} Well I went to the wework the last two days have two days off, if my food isn't completely well by friday I will not return to work just not worth all the pain. love ya all hugss Sheila..oh we got 1/2 inch of snow last night snowed off and on all day. ok byeee. Wickie I hear ya about pain meds, I have some but it really takes two to work, plus I'm doing the cheery pills, and have some topercine to rub on my foot. grrr sure hurts |

Sheila, I'm sorry to hear that you're still hurting bad. My foot is tired of hurting but won't give up yet. It just wants to make me miserable. Went to vote this morning and it wasn't crowded at all. We were in and out in 10 minutes and I when I told the poll women how much I liked their T shirts, they gave me one. So that was a nice surprise. It's white with blue stars and says "WE BELIEVE IN OUR COUNTRY". It was sunny and cold today; don't know when we will get more rain, but I'm ready for some more. Tomorrow our dog, Dippy has to go to the vet and get her shots updated. She is always so happy when she realizes where we are going (sarcastic). The minute we turn the last corner, she knows.........Time for a pain med; I might go by the chat room and see if anyone is chatting. We got quite a few people last night when I opened at 7, Kat and Sue were already there. We got a few more who seemed to be very nice people, and I hope they return. Nancy I sure do hope Cooper is ok. I hope we all voted today. I think if you don't vote, then you don't have the right to complain, but that's just me. |

Well, I guess we have a new president elect now. The Obamanator! Not my choice for sure, but now will just have to wait and see. And YES Wickie! I voted, so I DO have the right to complain! LOL This was one election I felt very strongly about, and though I always vote, I felt more at stake this time than ever before. Again I say, will just have to wait and see what happens. Having a majority of Democrats in House and Senate doesn't help my views at all either. Enough of that though. Sheila, I sure hope that your foot is feeling a little better anyway. Hopefully a lot better. Same goes for you too Wickie. Hope the pain is going away a little for you after your surgery. Cooper is doing quite a bit better I think. He is more his old self, not running a fever, but not eating a lot and still hasn't gone potty for # 2. He has a bacterial infection, but they can't pinpoint where. Has to be in his gut somewhere. That is where his pain is. I will just have to wait and see and the vet said to stay in touch with him and keep him updated, but he thinks things will be ok. Well, I am going to go get ready for church now, got choir practice tonight. Take care all. |

Hi well I went to the veterans outpatient clinic yesterday, yes I have gout and my urick acid levels are very hih so she gave me medicinne for the gout and pain meds, then pill to take after the pain is gone to lower the urick acid levels,go back for a blood test in three months. Start my meds tomorrow. Nancy I'm glad your cat is improving  Wickie I hope you foot gets to feeling better. It still hurts to sit here gals so I shall go, hugs to all Love Sheila |

Hello all, I am sitting here trying to get warm. I mowed this afternoon and it got COLD fast. This will be my last time mowing this year. Sheila, So glad you got your foot checked out and hope that now the medicines will help you feel better. Sorry you are in so much pain. Take care of yourself. I hope everyone is feeling better since I was here last time. Cooper is all better now, he had a bacterial infection somewhere, not sure where, but with the antibiotics, he is all Super Dooper Cooper again! Wickie, I hope your foot isn't hurting you so much now and you are healing. Sheila, I sure hope that your bout with the gout is getting better too. I know that has to be SO painful. Healing prayers going out to both of you. Well, I thought my Christmas Club Check from the Credit Union was lost, but seems they had my account screwed up, the money was there, just rolled over into my savings account. Anyway, I got it all straightened out, so now have my money for what little Christmas shopping I will do this year. Well, I am getting tired so will shut up now. Take care all! |

Hello everyone, hope all are feeling better and getting along well now. Al, Hope your cough is getting better. Deb, we are waiting to hear how your trip went. Hope it was great! Gosh, I would hope that enough of us could stay together and move the group to Aimoo or somewhere. I so much don't want to lose touch with any of you, though I know the room seems to be going fast now since notice that msn groups are closing. Lately, no one is even going into chatroom seems like. Could all of you that read this send me your snail mail address to my e-mail so I can write or send a card now and then to you? I think most of you have my e-mail address. Hi everyone, Good to see you back Deb and yes looking forward to all your news about your trip to the U.K. We had a great day on Sunday celebrating Lucy's first birthday. If any of you have facebook, I've posted some pictures. Alllllllllllll for the life of me, I don't know why you're being so negative? Just because MSN has decided to be a pain in the ass yet again, doesn't mean we have to crumble up and be defeated. There is life after MSN you know!!!!! Bobby, Nancy and I have looked for instance, at Aimoo and that looks pretty good. Sooo, it could be we go there or maybe somewhere else but TOGETHER we'll stay no matter what!!!!!! It will seem strange to start with but come on let's rise to the challenge!!!! It is true about our chatroom, I know I'm guilty as well for not going there lately sooooo come on friends let's get that back on track again. I hope everyone's Tuesday is going well, Hugs, Kat |
