A blanket of fog engulfs me
Three spheres surround me
Nothing is visible just now
One sphere leads to yesterday
One goes to tomorrow
The last one is now
The fog will enclose me soon
The mist fine and cooling
It whispers as it touches the skin
Looking to sphere one I question
Do I really want to relive yesterday?
And feel the pain and agony of defeat
What of tomorrow, do I want to see?
Is there to be tribulations as yesterday?
Sadness and pain and agony
Left with the sphere of now
I see no farther than this second.
The light is dim and so far away
Taking one step at a time
The whispering mist touching me
I go to the light slowly
What is there for me to see?
In this fog that engulfs me
I see a shadow of the unknown
Yet I keep taking that one step
Getting closer to the light
It dimly keeps shining.
Yesterday is but a memory
Tomorrow is a mystery
But today is now
Taking one step at a time
I continue in the fog
Just one step at a time
