In Memory of Mama

We have but one mother,
   thoroughout our life.
She leads us and guides us,
  Teaches wrong from right.

When we were young children,
  She held us so tight.
When we were sick,
  She rocked us all night.

Then we were teens,
  what brats we became!
But mom was still there,
  though we drove her insane!

Then we grew older,
  went out on our own.
Mom still worried,
  so called on the phone.

Years passed quickly,
  as they always do.
Mom grew older,
  and we did too.

Mom became granny,
  Oh how proud she was!
To have all her grandkids,
and to make such a fuss!

She was always there,
  helping us through all.
No matter what happened,
  Mom always stood tall.

The time came to pass,
  when mom grew frail.
We wanted for her, Peace,
at the end of her trail.

Mom has moved on now,
  to Heaven above.
To be with our savior.
  Wrapped in His love.

Oh how we miss her
and the love that she gave.
Her humor and wisdom,
  Still with us today.

We know mama's gone now,
  But not far away.
If we live as our Lord taught,
  we'll see her someday.

She's still in our hearts
  and there she'll remain.
Through the memories and love,
  She left to sustain.

TILL WE MEET AGAIN,
GOD BLESS YOU MAMA!
 WE LOVE AND MISS YOU!
