As you take her hand I softly cry,
Watching as you enter the dance floor.
Your arms encircle her and I try,
To find the nearest open door.

What should have been our night together,
Turned out to be her night in heaven.
My tears fall as I try to gather,
The courage to leave, before I cave in.

Your lips I felt hot upon my skin,
Touches so soft it was like a burning flame.
Memories so vivid I wish they would end.
Hurting me now was it just a game?

Passionate embraces were hidden each day
Words of desire whispered softly in my ears.
Messages left on the recorder to play,
Saying good bye without any tears.

Walking in darkness now I see
Your words as nothing but lies
The hidden embraces weren’t meant to be
I was just a toy for when you grew tired.

My mind no longer thinks on it’s own
Daily walks are a struggle for me
The darkness in me has grown
How will I get from point a to b

How do I see me without you
What was can never be
Our existence was just a view,
For only you to see.
