Taken By Sea                                            Was written by my grandaughter

I look to the sea,                                                   Sarah

Where you left long ago.

Where it took you to,

I do not know.

 

The color of the sea 

Is a deep, dark blue.

Maybe one day,

It will take me to you.

 

As I watch the waves

Hit the rock and break,

I realized I gave you

My heart and soul to take.

 

Time now passes slowly,

Day to day.

How many have passed,

I couldn't say.

 

A storm is brewing,

Way over the sea.

Maybe one day,

It will bring you to me.

 

The light is fading,

Across the open sky.

I can only  hope we find each other,

Before of broken hearts we die.
