First, thank you Peg for this great idea.

This board has been created so that we can post a little bit about where we all call home.  I will start it off.

Currently London  nicknamed "The Forest City" is celebrating it's 150th
anniversary of being a city.  1855-2005.
I have provided a link to our Web Page....take a tour and checkout the photo-gallery (link at the bottom of left hand side). This is a great city with a lot to offer....state of the art entertainment, more parks per capita than any other city in Canada, Universities/Colleges, World renown hospitals, etc.

Just a little tid-bit (trivia) both the young stars from the movie The Notebook
Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are from London, Ontario.  Jack Warner as in Warner Brothers Studios was born here, Hume Crowyn was also born here as was Victor Garber , actor stars in Alias on TV and was in Titanic (who's mom owned Garber's Gown Shoppe) and Jenny Jones (talk show host) her mom owned Shophies Gown Shop).  They were and still are the two main stores for wedding dresses, etc.
There you go a little trivia, hahahaha

Have a great day,
PerfectSpice

Thank you Kitty,

Yes it is ranked one of the best....we get some pretty well known and famous bluesmen.

Every summer one of the radio stations here (the Hawk) presents
Hawk Rocks the Park at one of our downtown parks....it is a 4 day event,
this year there are performers such as ...ZZTop, Foreigner, Reo Speedwagon Glass Tiger, George Thorogood, David Wilcox plus many more.....The cost for the entire 4 day event is only $45.00....so it is a great deal. Or you can purchase tickets for a specific day....All the proceeds go to a charity called Bethany's Hope (named after a little girl who died from Leukodystrophy)...so it is a good cause that will assist children who have this devastating disease.

Last year Alice Cooper was one of the performers.....George Thorogood is here every year as well for the Bluesfest.

Lol, more info than you expected...hahahaha

Take care and have a great day,
Smiles and Hugs
