please read the boards on when meetings are and when meetings are cancelled I do post here for this reason. Please answer to this message so i can see who all is getting their emails from the site . Gary and Joanne sign in and add your signature to the bottom |

hey Lorne buddy how ya been
Things here are busy to say the least when ya get down here we have a few new members you havent met yet
Gary and Joanne have joined and we have a few more prospects
We meet now at the farmers market on Tuesday on the corner of 40 street and 118 Ave set up is 330 Pm and tear down (home time) is 8 PM
We will keep this schedule up till the summer is over
If its raining when we wake up tuesday morning we will call each other (The ones who run the booth) and decide if we are going to set up and brave the cold if we cancell then the meeting is here at the house.
I posted here on this subject due to members saying i do not get ahold of them if we cancell I have always posted here if there was a change and members must come to the site to check on the status of the meetings and club updates not wait for me to call. .If I have to call each and every member for every meeting and update i would forever be calling and not get anything else accomplished.
I built this site so i didnt have to call everyone .
I only call those who do not have internet or do not use a computer
For those who Im having troubles signing up for an account due to MSN troubles I have assigned them to use my alternate sign in addey and Ive moved the account from Manager status to member status. This way they can get messages online and not have to second guess
Hope to see you soon Lorne Does Dana still have your master set of patterns cause if she does id like to borrow them if its ok

It has been extremely busy up
this way for the last couple of months, with the Legion taking up almost all of
my time.
The house has been on the market
for 3 1/2 months now and still no signs of a buyer.
I am no longer a District
Commander as I could not keep the position when I move south.
What has made me so busy is that
I am working on a committee to design and build a "Field Of Honour". I was able
to convince the city that we needed a new one as the old one has room for one
more person. I have also been busy trying to get Military Headstones for
Vterenas that do not have a Headstone and also have been working with Veterans
Affairs to get them to straighten up a number of Military Headstones that are
leaning, broken etc. Finally, the only project that I have started and will see
through to its conclusion is the Re-Naming of the Cenotaph Park to "The Veterans
Memorial Park". I convinced the City Council to do this as there are a minimum
of 7 Veterans Organizations up here as well as the Air Force and the RCMP and
the Cold Lake First Nations. Before the name change, there was no place for any
of the Veterans Organizations to erect suitable Memorials for their Fallen
Hero's and now they do.
We will be carrying out a
Dedication Ceremony on 1 July 2007 and the service is scheduled to start at 1030
hrs. at the Park located in Cold Lake North (one block from the
Lake).
Glad to hear that our membership
is starting to grow again.
I believe that Dana has a copy of my CD. If not let
me know and I will burn another one..
Gotta run as I have a bunch of Invitations to get
out to various people throughout the City.
The ceremony is open to all and I do mean
ALL>

TA DA!!! I'm Here!!! no silly, over here ------> ugh, now I'm overy there <--------- keep up will ya  Lorne, the patterns that Darryn was referring to you are in your hardcover book, which I have. (guarding with my life I might add). I will take it to Darryn on Tuesday. Want me to make him sign a note that he has it and date it the day he takes official possession of it?  . Hm, maybe I should get that in triplicate too. I miss ya buddy and wish you lived closer. Yes, I know you are moving, but dang it, do you have to move so far south... geez, how am I supposed to have any fun? Dana |

When I read my boards they seem
to be quite grainy.
Yes make Darryn sign for it in
triplicate and also get some of those Piclies stationed out at Namao to act a
guards so that he does not run away.
Just had a small Thunderstorm
roll through here. I now have a Moose pasture in my back yard. I will get into
town and get some wild rice to sow and then you will have a good place up here
to romp through. I will send you some pics when I get them down
loaded.
The situation in this city is
getting really bad and there is the begining of a mass exodus of the older
people. Things are just getting too expensive (not food etc) but taxes were
raised for the "Energy Center that nobody wants and the streets are getting
really dangerous. 3 to 6 month waiting list to get work done at a body
shop.
Once I get set up in Pincher
Creek, then I will be able to get a lot moree cutting done. Haven't done any
since the show last year, just been toooooooo busy.
I gotta run as I have a bunch of
work to do on a set of plans that I am modifying so that he can cut it out of
1/2" stock.

Welcome to the group. It is a
fun group but you have to keep an eye on moosie as she likes to romp through the
doughnuts.
I am the long lost member (one of the founding
members). I don't get out to the meetings as I live at the east est of 97th
Street (all the way that is). Cold Lake.
You will enjoy it with the group
and you may feed Darryn doughnuts but not the sugar coated ones as he may start
bouncing off the walls :-)

to take a pep pill. Better still, carry sugar cubes to get that instant
pic-me-up.
Do you get the feeeling that you
might be being picked on. At least I am far enough away to not having to worry
toooooooo much about it.
I like the idea of the outdoor
booth for the summer especuially if we get some good summer weather. Yesterday
we got about 2 to 3 inches of rain and another 2 are forcasted for this evening.
You is going to get it today as well. Better dig out the oil skins (Slickers)
and gum boots. Might be a good Idea to enroll in a YMCA swimming course so that
at least you will be able to flaot around to the different booths.
Remember one thing when you are
cutting. Count your fingers before you start-should be ten and count them again
when you finish and you should have eleven (11). Start on one finger 10, 9, 8,
7, 6, and the five on the other hand makes eleven. Can't refute that as it is
pure newfie logic.
Moosie, maybe give darren three
pens and he can sign once using all three at the same time and thus have three
signatures. Might just give him a break, we don't want him too worn out for the
coming winter.
