Thank you all so much for the welcome you have given me on my return. Through E-mails directly from Stan, I was told that being as I was out of Province, it was going against group rules, and I was terminated. I'm sorry to say, it left a bad taste in my mouth, and I just figured that it would be wasting my time to question why. I thought before this happened, that I was trying my best to fit in, but I wasn't going to cry over spilt milk. At the time, I was led to believe that this was a decision of the entire group, and who was I to go against the rules. Since then, and quite recently I might add, I've found out this was decided by "Cock of the Walk" and that it had nothing to do with the rest of you. This was painful at the time, because I had gone out of my way to send butternut slabs to Stan, because at the time I was wanting to do whatever I could to help on the RCMP project. I paid for the material, and the postage, only to be told that he thought that butternut was a waste of time to cut, and a waste of my money to buy in the first place. Needless to say, the message I was getting, was that the wood and I, was not good enough for his standards. I've been crapped on before and I was always able to wash the stink off, so I just wrote it down as another one of those times. Last night I read a few lines from Darryl's Rantings, and Lo and Behold, what showed up, but a part where the cuttings where made from Butternut. Hmmm ! Whats wrong with this picture? All I can add is that I appologize to everyone for thinking that you had taken a vote to terminate my membership. I now know what happened, and the offer still stands. If I can help in any way on the cuttings Darryl mentioned to me, I'm here. It will have to be cutting because if it comes to making patterns,I'm the worst.

Ross,
I am so glad you are back here with us.  You is good people man and even though we have not met in person, I know this to be true.  There is no one who has spent any time with you in the scrolling groups that wouldn't say it was evident what type of cloth you were cut from.  So welcome back to the fold!

Hey, they haven't kicked me out yet, so you can rest assured they won't kick you out

Dana

Ross:
As one of the three co-founders of ACSAW, I wish to welcome you back to the group. Although I am not as far away as you are there in the Pen Town, I too just cannot make the meetings and I only live three hours away. Darryn and Dana have tried repeatedly to get me to the meetings by enticeing me with doughnuts butjust cannot get there.
I was asked by Stan lat year to move over to his group but but I refused as I saw that he was not the person of trust that I had first met when Darryn, Stan and I first got together to form the group.
I too do not have the knack to make patterns and therefore rely on the talents of Darryn and Andy. By the way, Stan and Kevin really blew when they stated that we had ousted all not Albertans because we had never had gotten rid of Andy who, along with you, resides in Ontario.
If you just happen to be in the area in October, you are more than welcome to drop in and see us at the annual Edmonton Tool show where we are going to put such notibles on show as Dana (the snow mouse) Darryn, Leo and quite a few others. Just a litlle bit more of enticement, It is Dana's turn to bring the doughnuts.
Yours, the errant Kinosoo Sawyer from Cold Lake, AB.
Lorne

Which wood was this that Ross supplied?????
Was this the wood I got from Windsor maybe??????? I still have the receipt.
Ross was going to supply the wood but he couldn't get it to us in time and it was going to be laminated not one solid piece so I politely said thanks but I got a free piece from Windsor here in Edmonton.
I NEVER EVER banned Ross from our group or any out of province people not sure where you got this piece of information
you sure do have a vivid imagination there Darryn.

And as far as the Canadian soldiers go Gary's site wanted all of the information including the delivery addresses ... and DND would not release any of this info We are working directly with the DND on this project and never had any intention on cutting out Gary's site
Their focus is and should be on the US Soldiers ( the majority of their members are US Based and it only makes since) We approached the Canadian military because we did not want to have them forgotten and with out them we would have an extremely hard if not impossible time to deliver these portraits with out contact info and addresses to deliver these
