A friend who is a professional portrait artist just sent me one of his pix, I was quite blown away.   He lives in Dorset so if you're down that way and fancy your portrait painted...     I'm impressed at what he can do with acrylics cos it looked like oils to me

Though I don't like "Iperrealism" I admire the technique. But that, technique, for me it remains. The iperrealist aesthetic had his idea on images so perfect to be unreal, and like that even being irritating.

In your friend's work I see however the taste of irony with some intriguing citations as the pumpkin guitar on the table.

Ciao

I take your point Sandro, but he has to do them in the style his clients require & can't let his own preferences overun their idea of a portrait.

I sense this Artist has a deep love for his creativity. Very organised with the paints and brushes placed on his table. I also sense from the love of his work, that he most likely is a very busy man.
