My hubby and I have been very busy lately, sorting our son's house out. Our latest project is to lay some flags - a base for a 10ft by 8ft shed. On the first Monday we laid 9 - 600mm x 900mm. That night we could not sleep because our arms were dropping off! The next Monday we laid 17, raised for easy drainage. By now we became 'professionals' because my son's neighbour spied and complimented on our effort. He wants us to extend his patio. I will show you our work on completion because I think if you set your mind on doing something, just get on with it. Here is my hubby on a Tea-Break, 56 years old next month and still like a working bull yet. Lily - wondering whether she should order the timber and build the shed as well! |

Finished it a few weeks ago. We are quite pleased with our effort. Next we have got to put another ariel socket (cos existing one is in the wrong place for his TV) in the lounge plus a network lead - feed both from the attic which involves chiselling groves down the walls then hide the evidence! Same with putting a security light round the back etc, plenty to do yet. Lily |
