was shooting the moon, last night. I haven t shot the moon for a while now, but it was so bright last night, I just had to try out my new tripod. There is a lot of softness in the shot, but that is due to the 2x teleconverter between the lens and the camera as well as the lens is just past its best. It just goes to show, that you can have one of the best sensors in the world at present, but without decent glass in front of it, you do not get its best.

Always remember too, megapixels are not the be all and end all of digital photography. You can have a 10 megapixel camera, with a milk bottle on the front of it, or a 0.3 megapixel with something like a Zeiss or Leica glass in front. Which is going to give the better image?

Don't believe i have seen a digital photograph of the moon, and ya, i see what you mean about the slight blurry appearance.

Right again, once a lens, no matter its length or manufacturer, has had its time, not much you can do but look for a replacement.

I'm truly looking forward to learning the new digital photographic art, to see what I can produce. I'll keep you up to date, right from the start. How's that sound?

hI CARROT'S, I have looked at the moon, and I have to say it look's like the red planet. All I see is a red box, and it ticks me off. There is something wrong and i cannot fathom it out..................
