Interesting photographs depicting the life you live in Labrador, Lab. I have one question. May i ask what a "komatik" is? Doesnt seem like a familiar word.

Like your smiley face "Snowed In." Under "around the cabin" i see a hand in the snow just beside the tree.

As for the "Outhouse" it is my understanding, it is used for a different purpose, than what you have photographically expressed here. Usually used to an outdoor Bathroom. Maybe different in Labrador.

Who ever invented "Long Johns" should have gotten an award. Let's see if anyone out there know what they are used for, and why they might have a backdoor. hehehe

The photographs you took in the icy windows are incredible. This is one area i would like to spend some time capturing nature's creativeness in the ice and how it forms on a window. It truly facinates me. You see, even Bart Simpson is depicted. hehehe

Looking forward to more of your photographic creations Lab

I agree with our faithful leader Iced. Sharing your life at the cabin is very gracious of you, so we can get to know your lifestyle. We are all becoming much more educated in a different way of life, and that is a very good thing.

Ah, so "Komatik" is a Dog Sled. Great to know and understand what it is called in Eskimo, having seen many photographs and documentaries of the Eskimo.

May i ask how you would say, "Keep Smil'n" in Eskimo, as it is a greeting i use each time i leave any situation and want to wish one well.

I have a couple of pair of Long Johns myself, when it gets colder than we are used to here. The backflap is self explanatory dont you think? lol

Your ice sculpture is very well done, as well as the lighting of it Lab  As Iced put it, "very talented, more please

Hey LAB, They are right when they say that they cannot see your pics' I cannot see them either. All I see is a red cross in a box. Right to the important stuff. Do you think you could liberate you mam, and get her to make me a coat, like your's. I will pay her and you can tell her it's a holliday from the home.....
