Ya gotta check this site out, sent to me by a dear friend Now, if you wish, place the hand clicker in the Western most Province in Canada, which is British Columbia. Click again in the lower left hand corner of the province, and you will witness some incredible photographs of Vancouver. Then if you wish to see some natural photographs of a very beautiful part of our province and Alberta, look on the right hand side, where the border (white line) vertical line goes off to a right angle. Click there and along that line and you will see some incredible photographs. Lab, i checked out your area. Photographs of such incredible natural beauty. Maybe you wish to encourage us, to click on any other particular area, to see photographs where you live |

Yes it "is" amazing isnt it Iced i most definitely am enjoying the calendar pics of the UK. Todays is Hampshire Freshwater Bay. A well taken photograh of what appears to be a beach in the foreground with low cliffs in the background and a tiny island off the coast. Yesterday's was the Southsea Castle in Hampshire. Each one has it's own characteristics, very well presented. Cant thank you enough my dear. Pie, am still hav'n probs trying to transfer my photographs to CF darn it. Will be taking another course in the not too distant future to learn how to use "Elements" an editing program used by professionals as well as amatuers. Within it i will hopefully learn what i am or not doing correctly. It is my understanding though that Bob is also having this problem. One step at a time i say |

No offence Lab, but ever since my joining Crazy Friends way back in 2002, ppl nicknamed me "Smiles," cuz my first nickname was "smileferawhile" so i think he was ask'n me. Hay this does not mean in any fashion that you cannot use Lab Smiles as your nickname. We all know, and we are ok with it right everyone? |

Smiling here, Lab Smiles has been my name for many many years . But Sunshine. is my real nic name with my family & relations. since childhood. Given to me by my elders. Many years ago Inuk people never had names, The goverment gave them a tag to wrap around their neck. with a number like 135 W... W meaning west. The Goverment asked people to chose names, many names came from your personality. Names from the bible... But this was before my time...Opps going off track again,,,,, No one would not know me if I now after all these years take Smiles off my name.. , One can not have too many smiles .

Lab, no doubt hundreds of years ago, none of us had names as we know them now. Most likely we were named the same way, from our personality. Kinda funny too, how our last names were chosen. Most likely chosen in a similar fashion. I've alway had a BIG SMILE. Used to have buck teeth, and a dear friend called me "Bucky." lol He loves the way I always smile. We are still friends. He is in his eightys. Please keep your name, as you would'nt feel comfortable without it. I would'nt either |

Sorry Just getting back on track,
I have not read any where that other people were given numbers to replace their names, It was not that long ago actually, back in 1930. Traditions of the Inuit were violated by Goverment people to simplify Inuit names "for convenience' sake." Because they could not pronounce the names...
In 1969, "Project Surname" was enforced, The Goverment wanted our people to pick surnames,
Inuit naming traditions are very strong and do not include surnames.... The tags were refered to much the same as Dog Tags an assult and insult to our people..
Luci Idlout recorded a C D , called..... . E5-770..... (MY MOTHERS NAME)
My Great Grandmother had no last name either.. . I smile here thinking why you chose your own name frmear2ear03 Have a great day and blessings to you,
Lab Smiles

Thx Lab, and yes totally understandable. I can understand why the Government would wish to give you names they can pronouce, so that communicate would be easier between. As for my nickname on CF, "frmear2ear" im happy you are smiling, as it indicates that my name got the message across, to smile from ear to ear. lol |

Totally understood from both sides, but how impersonal having only a number to identify one's self, rather than the God given name |
