Beans on Toast
It's just another Monday afternoon,
And all my chores are done,
So now I can have beans on toast,
And after that,
Go to the park,
And have some football fun,
For I love the summertime,
Where the weather is so fine,
And I get to be the teenager that I am,
Where I'm not meant to give a damn,
But I do,
Because everything I do,
Has an eefect on those around me,
Where I listen to the sound of the summer,
And leave autumn where it belongs:
In the future,
Where I haven't yet reached,
For I like to be taught:
To learn about the world,
And how to be the teenage boy that I am,
For I am sixteen years old,
And I want to grow old,
But slowly,
So I can enjoy my youth,
Where I am blind to the truth,
Of some ways of the world,
But today I'll have beans on toast,
And on Sunday,
I think I'll enjoy a Sunday roast.
