Midnight Black
Let the night come upon us,
Let the moon and stars shine down,
Creating a romantic night,
Underneath the stars,
Showing the history of the universe,
Where galaxies collided,
To create earth:
A planet as beautiful as the universe itself,
For we don't need to look for aliens:
We just need to look to ourselves,
For we are the aliens,
We are the ones with the possibility,
To conserve or destroy planet earth,
A planet of beauty and worth,
For millions of years created everything we have,
Time brought the dinosaurs,
Time brought mammals,
And fish that swim in the sea,
For we have to see,
The consequences of our actions,
We mustn't turn a blind eye,
And foolishly question why,
This planet has become so nasty and polluted,
For we need to look after everything here,
We need to open others eyes,
And make it clear,
That we can't get away with abusing our planet for long,
Because we will one day destroy ourselves.
