I'm sure you have heard as of late, all of the drub companies, that are putting down herb remedies right? Then they call out for ppl to do a study in some form. Could be ppl from any age group. A short time after the study has been completed, the drug company comes out with a product, that supposedly will comfort one with the same symtoms, that they have been saying, that the specific herb, is not good for. Hmmm Would that make you think, that they are only looking for future profits? Would that make you think, that herbs, that have been used for centuries,to either calm,or eliminate any particular disease or discomfort, are not as "up to snuff" as so many generations of individuals have said they are? Something to think about. Oh, and if it's ok with the shareholder's, only to up their profits, and desires to remain supporters of that particular drug company.

I think that one of those other questions  might as well be, "who the heck, is ruling the roost" dont you think? Hmmm.

I, too, was shocked and appalled at the recent opinion by C21 doctors to attempt to eliminate Hospital use of herbs; acupuncture; blahblahblah, because they aren't "scientifically proven" to help.

Phlox, Leonard McCoy and all other future physicians will be as willing [Phlox will be MORE willing] to use herbs, etc. as they will "proven" medicine.

"Science" isn't everything.  Centuries of satisfaction, plus the accepted religions known as Paganism and Druidism can't all be wrong.

Oy.  You current doctors...GET WITH IT, idiots.

Totally agree with ya Stripey. It's only profits that seem to run it, rather than getting each and everyone of us well, in the safest possible way.

Ya gotta figure, before these humungous drug companies came into being, what did the population use, to get rid of a cold, or help get rid of the flu, or a mulitude of other symtoms that man has suffered from since the beginning of "tyme." Sorry is spelled the same way. lol

Most of us, in cooking our meals, add a number of herbs and or spices, not only to enhance the taste, but to as well, give us a percentage of our daily nutrition.

I remember as a young fella, hearing rumors, that the local Natives, had a number of different herbs, that they would use, to accomplish a healthy result, but even then the drug companies, were just beginning to have an affect upon us.

Should your health profit shareholders of drug companies? Would it be a better idea that we be use natural plants, that grow in so many different parts of the world? Shouldn't we also have a choice as to which we wish more to use?

If we allow them to program us throughout our lives, then we cannot appreciate, the true help, that herbs can provide for each one of us. Forget the profits, remember the health.
