This morning, I received from a friend, one of these mass mailings, pass on to all you know emails. You know the ones I am speaking of.  Iced expressed to me, earlier this year, something that made a great deal of sense to me, in that the originators of these emails, are only trying to gather as many email addresses as they can  to spam ppl or play their sick jokes.

Now, within the mass email I received, was described, not to allow any "invites" from anywhere for the next few days, as if one opened it, a virus, that none of the protection services have, shall I say, a vaccine for. In fact, that CNN and many other broadcasters as well, have called this the worst they have ever seen, and have no way of stopping it.

Now, playing on the innocent and naivety of a percentage of our world's population, there is a percentage of ppl, that will automatically believe what is being expressed. If you receive it from a trusted friend, no disrespect meant to any of them, one would tend to believe what they are reading, and of course, pass it on to all of their contacts, in essence, giving the originator or the email, millions of personal addresses to send either their spam, viruses, or sick rushes to.

I made it very clear to my friend, as I have to others that  have sent me, these mass emails, to discontinue doing so immediatly, as I do not wish to suffer finacial consequences, nor do I wish, to send to those I respect so much, any possibility of harming their pc.

What will they think of next, to pray upon those of us, that are just trying to enjoy, our international communications experiences? Hmmm.

Your comments are most welcome.

I, too, get very tired of these types of E-mails, even when they ARE from trusted friends/family [usually Mum and George], so I've decided [having read smile's starter], that I'm not going to cater to it any more.

*stamps his four feet* LOL.

There are loads of hoaxes out there, take a look at these two sites which lists them.

I have often been forwarded emails like these.  I delete them, no matter what they say, you usually have to scroll to the bottom of a very long email to find out what it's all about anyway lol.  I am always amazed at how many email addies are visible on these forwarded mails, so many people !  and just who is collecting all of these addies

Hey Folks, If you want to find out if an email is "for real" check this site out ............ http://forum2.breakthechain.org
it's dedicated to stopping junk emails and misinformation, you'll even find me in there trying to talk some logic into some christians, but I'm outnumbered so they tend to mostly ignore me.
..................... Mike
