Al-Zarqawi, Iraqs Most Wanted Man, was finally eliminated, through aerial observation of his "spiritual leader," with 2-500 pound bombs on June 8th. This man, one that it is said, had very close ties with Bin Ladin, seemed to love the removal of anyone, whether they be of American decent, and or residents of Iraq. It would seem, that he loved the media attention, that he was receiving, worldwide, and took great care, in putting out a call, to those that wish, to be a part of the Insurgency, or possibly those that, as well, love violence, and are not afraid, to hide their dedication, even to those close to them. It could appear to those on the outside, that these individuals, love to engage in very sadistic events, not caring, who is injured or killed.

There has been a great celebration within the population of Iraq, finally seeing his elimination, after so many ppl, some close to them, being beheaded, or killed by the I.E.D's.

It was like a release of fear, knowing that he had finally been taken care of, but the question now is, knowing that, there is shall I say, a vacuum has now been placed within his organization, who will take his place, and will they be as uncaring and or as lethal.

Below, is a link from CNN, expressing the events following up to the bombing of his "safe house," as well as many other topics surrounding his life.

If you have read the news, here in Canada this week, 17 ppl ranging in age of late teens to early twenties, were arrested and jailed, to what seems to be a similar organization, to thrust fear into the hearts of us, normally being less aggressive, but having a border, so close the USA. It would seem, that they wished to impress upon Bin Ladin, that his, shall I say cause, has groups springing up worldwide.

It would seem, that one member of that group, wished to behead our Prime Minister. They also wished to continue their endless killing, until our Government, expressed, that we would bring our troops home from Afghanistan. As well, information, that has come to bear from those captured, expressed their wish to take over the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporations)

It would also seem, and I'm sure many of you recognize it from within your own countries, that violence, with the growing of the population, is definitely on the upswing, whether "we" like it or not. Those individuals, from Middle Eastern Countries, are being focused upon, for fear, that they, may have alterior motives for entering our Country's. Canada has always had an open door, to immigrants, but I feel now, that these very destructive events that have taken place worldwide, and particular, here in my home Country of Canada, that there will be a change in our policy of allowing ppls from other countries to immigrate into Canada.

The Americans are now trying to quicken the idea, of having our residents, procuring passports, just to enter the States. This has a large percentage of our population up in arms, knowing the amount of economic profits, made by both over the years. Many Canadians, myself included, feel that if we have to use passports to enter the USA, would only make us feel very uncomfortable. It would as well, have a definite affect on the economy shared by both our countries. Getting rid of terrorists is one thing, but ruining relations between us, is most definitely another. I would hate to see a 10 foot wall between Canada and the USA. I believe, it would definitely make a difference, as to how many, would wish to travel there. As well, our normally open and very welcoming feeling, may be reversed, if they, without what appears to be, a basic less caring or understanding of us, as a ppl.

It is my belief, that the American Government, is seeing Canada, take a major role, in wishing to remove terrorism from the world, but they have, in past, been more in control of such processes, are getting somewhat jealous of what we are now undertaking, to protect the residents or our country. It is my feeling, that the American Government, wants to control all that takes place in this war on terrorism. It could appear, that if they do not have complete control, that they will close their border to us,  feeling that we are not strong enough, to protect ourselves. It is my belief, that we are surprising them considerably.

Let us only hope, that they can come to an understanding, that we too, have control of our country, and will, have control of who enters, and for what reason they wish to enter, so that we as well, can help prevent terrorist attacks on us, as well as the States.

Time will tell.

I do believe that the media do not make matters any better with these kind of people.  Its a catch 22 situation, publish it to make more aware of the dangers and the offender gets a great kick out of it.  If you know what I mean

Well sure the offender gets a kick out of it, as they are getting attention, and in so many ways, making ppl more fearful of them.

I agree with you Iced, that stations like CNN capitalize on these events for their ratings. Ppl over here, if they havent experienced terrorism, I'm sure, have absolutely no idea of the fear and anger, that groups like this cause.

Also by continuously publicizing it, makes it easier for those, that wish to create terror cells, in your country, other member's countries, let alone my own. When arrests are made, as they were here last week, it is like a wake up call, to those of us, that always felt, so well protected from these ppl, that may or may not have, shall I say, both oars in the water.

It would also seem, that it depends, on how one interprets their Bible or Koran, and or uses certain passages, in a way, that makes them look good, and the do-gooders, look ugly. It is a very sad thought, when ppl have to go to this extent, to get unneeded attention. We must continue to believe in Democracy, no matter how each day, week, or year appears to the public.

This is the man who was responsible for all of the beheadings. God, I saw some of them and they were awful. I am glad they got him but another one will fill his place.....and I read today that they think someone has already.

This will just continue and continue and continue....................I am not sure when or how it is going to end. I just wish none of it started. It is another Vietnam war.
