Was listening to Coast to Coast AM this evening. The host George Nory was expressing, "the Chinese Empire so long ago, was taken down by Military Force, as well as the Roman Empire the same. That in the course of history, we are presently recording , that North Korea is testing missles, some longer range, and the Iranians, are talking about Nucleur force in 5 years. The American Government is fighting a war in Iraq, right next door to Iran. On top of all of this, Russia has tens of thousands of Nucluer missles, that have not been accounted for. Those that are not accounted for, could be used or sold to countries, that produce the right price. What is this leading to?

Our rights are slowly but surely, little by little, being whittled away from us. If we all as a population, worldwide, now do not truly stand up and speak, it would appear, that there will be, a Third World War, at some time, in the not too distant future. If this were to take place, would we think, "Now why didn't I stand up and speak. Now is the time to stand up and speak, so this will not be repeated."

I totally agree with George Nory. Too many countries, some presently less capable, are working at upgrading themselves to Nucluer Power, to arm themselves. All it takes, is one country to try to destroy another with a Nucluer bomb, and it could start a chain reaction worldwide. If the population of this world, does not stand up for itself, destruction, of just about everything we physically know, may very well take place. Unless you like the look of Lebanon, that would only be the beginning. Hundreds of millions of ppl would lose their lives, and life as we presently know it, would cease to exist. That is very scary indeed.

Is it not up to us, in the "free world," to realize the consequences? hmmm

Pieman, this is not about democracy, it is about the safe survival of the world's population, and what we as ppl's of the planet can do, to influence, those that could appear, in the future, to possibly destroy, a very large percentage of the population. It is not about over taking another country.

You see, so many years ago, Nucleur Power became extremely important to leading nations like Russia, and the States. Now very small countries are having a go at it, and with the instability of their nation's government's, with this incredibly destructive ammunition, it puts the entire globe at risk, not just each individual country. Its not about control, it "is" about intelligent survival.

Well, those that do not have an alterior motive for giving their best can try can they not. Just depends on if you try, when you try, and for what reason you are trying, but yes, at least try to help others make peace, before it is completely lost world wide. As a result, we all disappear because not enough ppl stood up and tried to tell the governments, with alterior motives, to try in a different way. Yes, and try to understand each other in the process. Try to hear instead of just listen to what those in other countries have to say, or why they are saying it. What is making them express it, long before the democratic world came along to try to "give peace a chance."

It's people like you, frmear2ear, that make the world the better place that it is, in spite of the struggles and hardship. We DO need to join together to stop the destruction of this beautiful planet. We mustn't let the governments of the world be allowed to get away with generating nuclear weapons. Thankfully, we have Greenpeace who are aware of the threats facing this planet and we can join them to stop these governments getting away with it.
