911 was a catastrophe, in more ways than just one. The hundreds of men, that spend up to 500 hours, either looking for survivors, or removing debris, are now the ppl that are suffering so greatly.

If you remember the broadcast of this horrific event, on every television station worldwide, as each of the World Trade Towers collapsed. There was a huge cloud of dust created, as each one plunged to the ground. Even ppl running as fast as they could on the street, could not avoid it, as it covered everything in sight, for miles around "Ground Zero."

Within a very short period of time after removing all of the debris, many of the Firemen, Policemen, and volunteers, began to complain of stomach and lung problems, as well as Post Traumatic Stress.

The City Of New York, as well as the Federal Government, did not wish to accept the fact, that anyone of them had medical problems, as it seemed that it was more important, to make sure that Wall St opened as soon as possible. It would seem in that vein, money was so much more important than human life.

In January of this year, a Policeman passed away, from what the Coroner expressed, was caused by the many toxins and asbestos, that was floating in the air. Shown on CBC, a couple of slides, that showed a lung, that had many different tiny pieces of debris within it. The Coroner expressed that his lungs were twice their normal size.

A Fireman, that at times, would normally climb many stories of stairs, before attacking any fire, was not able to walk up one flight, without gasping for air.

The EPA, expressed on television internationally, that yes, there are toxins and yes there is asbestos floating in the air, but it is safe to work at this location. It was also expressed, that it was up to the Contractor's to insist the workers constantly wear face masks, but it was never demanded. One worker expressed that yes, he wore one, but it was next to impossible to communicate with anyone with it on, so when anyone wished him to verbally express something, he removed it, and most times, did not replace it.

The Federal Government, now plauged with Workmen's Compensation applications, is telling these "Heroes" that they are not sick, that they do not have a medical problem. US Government had pledged $125,000,000 to be of help to these ppl, but because it was not used as quickly as they wished, it was withdrawn.

So, in other words, these incredible "Heroes" were not as significant, as the government was expressing. It would seem, that money, was much more important, that the lives of so many ppl, that spend so many hours, some of their own free time, to clean up the debris. This does not paint a very caring picture does it?

If you wish to read more about this, please take a look at the link I have left,
a documentary broadcast by the CBC Television Network, called "Toxic Legacy."
