Wanted to check out the prices in some of the food stores in my area. Thought I would have a look on the net. It seems, that each website I visited, to receive any info on their food prices, one has to "subscribe." Oh, and they have photographs of families with their kids, looking as though they subscribe, and it gives them a great deal of happiness. Right.
I'm not as naive as I used to be. lol I dont subscribe to anything unless, I truly know, that it will be of great service to me and, I won't have to receive their constant spam each day.
There are so many millions of companies out there, that not only wish your patronage, but as well, wish to see what you are doing on the net, or in other words, invade your privacy, and make it appear, as comfortable, as is possible from them. Surprising how many individuals, have absolutely no idea, what they are doing, to increase the amount of spam to them, as well as anyone else, that may think it is a good idea. "Well, I want the info, so I will subscribe." lol Excuse me, what ever happened to their intelligence. Oh, I guess they dont care about the crap that is sent to those, that "only wish the info." But they are most likely the ones, that are constantly complaining about the incredible amount of spam they are receiving each day.
Its not funny when you see your name spelled in multiple ways, and in some cases, not your name, or even close to it.
In years past, I used to check the area, to which any particular compay would indicate, they would send one a newsletter. Well, it was not long after that, I began to receive spam, all kinds of it. I would click on it to see what was offered, not realizing that, by doing that, I was only opening myself up, to these companies but, as well as to whom my email address was sold to, would constantly send me spam. It got to the point, where as I was receiving up to 100 a day. No longer do I click or check on any offer, when downloading any program, as I do not wish to have my email address sold to any tom, dick, or harry in the internet world, to make money, or make a practice of watching my net practices, just by sending me spam.
Unless there is a website, to which, I do not have to register, to get their info, to see the price competition for different food stores and the items they sell, I spose I will have to just continue to receive their flyer in the regular mail each week. I only get one.
If anyone in Canada or elsewhere, is aware of a website, in which I do not have to register, to receive info about a food store's products, I would most certainly appreciate it.
