Just sitting here enjoying my surf'n and what do I hear outside my window? I have a look. There are 5 young men, walking up the street. One has just thrown what appears to be a small battery operated piano, out into the street. He runs out, picks it up, and as all of them run up the street, he bashes it against every tree he can find. They all laugh.

A number of times I have seen young ppl coming home from what ever pub they have been entertaining themselves, hammered, and wanting to destroy parked vehicles on the street. Totally disgusting. Many times, if I observe damage, I call the local constabulary. They come down and deal with them.

Personally I think it is total stupidity, a lack of something to do, to keep them busy, or is it the violence that they see everyday on the tube, that makes them feel that they can, in the middle of the night get away with damaging innocent ppl's property. I find it totally sickening.

How do you feel about the young ppls, present form of ignorant and very destructive entertainment?

I agree with Ugly Pieman. There has never really been a golden age, where young people behaved properly. But it IS sickening. How could someone raise their child to be so violent? It makes me cry to think of the pain these young people have suffered to behave that way. There should definitely be the tightening of anti social behaviour laws. Thankfully because of those laws here in Britain, that kind of behaviour has been reduced. But in the town where I live, the entire chemist shop window was shattered and had to be replaced. It was just awful. Plus, a lot of young people hang around the parks drinking and smoking. It seems to me that they are bored and will do anything for kicks.

Smilie,
I think there always have, and always will be those selfish few who like to spoil things for others.  Bored kids with no imagination and too much time on their hands will always be the most visible form of this.

However, I think the media hyping up this as youth culture tends to forget about the well mannered, kind enthusiastic individualswho tend to get tarred with the same brush just because they happen to be below a certain age.

I've done it myself.  Gotten sniffy about teenagers laughing on a bus when really they weren't saying anything nasty and were just being teenagers.

You have to ask, are the vandals and yobs doing it just because they're young or would they just be stirring up different kinds of trouble when older?
