One frustrated fellow here, cuz for the first time ever, am seeing error message for the first time, upon trying to enter msn messenger. It says that im behind a firewall. Well ya of course to protect myself. It is marked on my program list and on my Zone Alarm list as well.

Any help ya can give to a frustrated member would most certainly be appreciated, and I thankya in advance

I believe that i found that answer myself and it is so simple. Upon signing into messenger, I am asked if I wish messenger to access the internet. As of late I for what ever reason, been answering "no." This time I answered "yes," and away we go. Problem solved I hope

This problem has happened to me with many different programs, simply because I am happily typing away on an instant messenger (, looking at the keyboard and not the screen I may add seeing as I am not a skilled typist,) when some program or other decides to access the internet at the most opportune moment. I inadvertantly press the return key or some other key which suggests 'No' in accessing permission and without realising it my computer decides to throw a wobbly! (Is that a word to add to your "When I say this it means...." post?)

Just a small point always check you have set zone alarm to 'allow' in all 4 boxes
