I am using version 1.2 When you run the program it shows 3 buttons , check for problems, Recovery and search for updates Press the Search for updates button and it will tell you if there are any available..In my case it said there were none soI couldnt go any further |

hmm well before..when I posted that thread, it only showed there was an error which wouldn't allow me to update without complicated instructions from the help menu. Now...it says no updates are available. I spect it's a male site...tells you a load of crap to blind you with science and then fails to come up with the goods |

I understand from a friend of mine that there is a newer version of spybot available. He said its necessary to upgarde to the newer version and then you will get the updates. I will have a look myself and see if this is the case. Stu |

Take my advice, get Ad-aware aswell, they update are frequently and It seems to get rid of most except for built in ad engines/toolbars , which arnt a big worry anyway compared to porn dialers and page hijackers and cookies and...lol, but using both is best, increases chances of removing the little blighters  |
