HOW TO PROTECT YOUR ADDRESS BOOK

Aloha dear Friends.....I learned a computer trick today that's really ingenious in it's simplicity. I received it from another friend. As you may know, if/when a worm virus gets into your computer it heads straight for your e-mail address book, and sends itself to everyone in there, thus infecting all your friends and associates. This trick won't keep the virus from getting into your computer, but it will stop it from using your address book to spread further, and it will alert you to the fact the worm has gotten into your system.

> > Here's what you do: first, open your address book, click on "new contact" as you always do to add

> > a new friend to your e-mail list. In the window where you would type a friend's first name, type in AAAAAAA, next insert the email address that follows:

[email protected]

> > Now, this is what you've done and the reason why it works: The phony name AAAAAAA automatically will be placed in the first position of your address book as entry

#1. Upon gaining access to your system the worm will start at the very first name listed in an effort to send itself to all your friends.

> > However when it tries to send itself to AAAAAAA, your carrier ISP will immediately return it as UNDELIVERABLE because it is a phony email address, easily recognized .When the first attempt fails (which it will because of the phony address) the worm goes no further and your friends will not be infected.

> > Here's the second great advantage of this method: If an e-mail cannot be delivered, you are notified via your INBOX almost immediately. Hence the minute you get notified of the addressee, AAAAAAA, you know right away you have a worm virus in your system.

>>Take steps to get rid of it! Pretty slick, yeh?

If everybody you know does this then you need not ever worry about opening mail from friends.

Please send to all your friends. They will bless you for the tip
