Thought I'd perk some interest in ya all by revealing I've begun a modern telling of the story behind Stripey's worst day, the one in May 1980 when his parents were killed.  I've come straight here from writing the opener and am already thinking of ways to expand on the reader's desires, such as describing the sights and sounds of Metropolis and those of an Indian jungle as well.

Wish me luck, please.

The story should be ready......errr.....well, I'll leave finishing that sentence for now, methinks.

Well, when I followed the link myself, it just asked me to react as if I was signing into Hotmail.  I did that and it came up [albeit after a wait].

As for Iced's comment on the "next bit", what you'll get next is the rewrite...the improvement...of the first part.

a few things Earthy

I finally got it after a wait...it's looking good, but I'm finding the sheer number of names a bit confusing, and the explanation of Emma and the other guy...twice in one line is a bit erm..

I'm sorry if I sound so critical of everyone's writing..I'm just trying to be helpful! I really admire anyone who can write anything really, cos I struggle.

Oh yes and it was lovely having a chat again with you the other evening. We must continue where my cursed phone interrupted us, some time, yes?

Well, in response to your help, Jibbs, I'm going to add a glossary to the end of it.

I recently bought 'Excalibur:  Restoration', the 11th 'New Frontier' novel and, for some reason, looked at the back pages.  There, to my surprise, was a glossary.  A loooooooooong glossary.  And I was amazed at how many races, planets and people I had never heard of.  I last touched 'New Frontier' a few years ago, with novel 7, 'The Quiet Place' and in the shops now are books 13, 14 and 15, 'Being Human', 'Gods Above' and 'Sword And Anvil', plus an anthology, 'No Limits'.  If you think MY story is confusing in names, try getting thru 'New Frontier'........

Well, I HAVE had fun doing the glossary....especially the D.C. and 'Doctor Who' bits.  It's now complete up to where I'd gotten to with the story and I'll add to it as I write more.

Sorry this has been so long in arriving.  I've been having writer's block on what a catfight might actually be like and how it should be described in literature.

Well, y'know I've been home.  Now I'm back, the story's being continued.  Chapter Four will be soon.  And it will maybe be medicinal in nature, so yes, I'm having to do a l'il research in that area.
