Thursday was my birthday, I had a long needed day off. I wasn't thrilled about having to count up the years again. BUT-I was expecting my children to at least call me.
Around 1PM -not one onf my 3 lovely daughters had called.
I started thinking-- 'They must know it is the 9th - just by being at work and using the date in their jobs. HMMMPHF
2PM I was thinking I'm gonna be cheap at Christmas this year.
3PM Maybe I'll move to a warmer climate, they don't need me around anyway. I was getting ridicuous and I knew it - but my feelings were hurt.
THEN! I found a little feather on my living room floor that definitely was not there before. It was from my mother! I started laughing out loud and told her Thanks and I love her. Suddenly- a thought filtered through my head. Where is my phone? ( I pretty much only use my cell) Duh. NANA! I came home late last night and I must have left it on the car seat.
Sure enough there it was-- and loaded down with Happy Birthday messages, including singing.
Later one daughter brought me lasagna, and another bought me flowers, gorgeous home made card fom eachof her 3 girsl., and a lot of some really good chocolate. This upcomng Fri my other daughter who was busy this weekend is having me over for a family dinner and get together.
Christmas is on and I'm staying put.
Just goes to show that you should not jump to conclusion.
