I'm recovering - I think.

Here is the story.
My oldest and least organized daughter decided to move a month ago.  She is now a single mother and needs something less expensive.

my lovely daughter is one of those who sticks things in the attic, like years worth of baby clothes and equipment even though she isn't having any more babies.  Her attic was jammed packed- that included lots of my stuff.  So was her basement.

As of  Monday. Oct 27, she only had a few boxes packed.   Yeah yeah- she works longs hours, and overtime and her children are 2-4 and 15- all having to be taken to or picked up from daycare, 4K school, or volleyball.  YES, her back is seriously injured and she has to go to therapy twice a week.

Still.  Get a plan!  right?  Thats what I've been telling her for years.  PLAN AHEAD.  She doesn't and somehow things always seem to work out- Up till now.

SIGH..    Mama Nana with her arthritis and artery claudication -in my spare time? had to step in AGAIN and help or she would not have been out in time.   Her sisters came and helped too.

All week I've been sorting, packing, dragging boxes down from the attic, packing kitchen- toys, and cleaning.
She had two pickups full to Goodwill.  Two to the dump.  And 4 to storage.  2 to where she is now.

Some guys she knew moved out her furniture on Wed.  Most of it.

FRi night at 6:30 on the  the 31st.  the last of it went.  WHOOEEE.

Since then I've been plastered to my couch, heavily medicated with Ibuprophin, aspirin and tea.     I'm finally able to make it to the computer for a few minutes.

Don't get me wrong- I love my daughter to bits- she is precious and loving, smart and beautiful, a great mother and sweet as can be.......but organized she is not.

Next time she will have to suffer the consequences.  My other two daughters tell me that I've said that before.

What are ya gonna do?

I guess she knew you guys would step in and help.
BUT it is done.
Hugs and prayers that you are O.K. now and can a rest, that your daughters knew place works out perfect for her and her family and that lets things go that she does not need.

I am one to talk...I think I better go and do that too.
LOl

Thanks for the sympathy I needed it  LOL

All but a basket full  of my 15 yr old grandaughter's school clothes went to either the goodwill or the dump. Oops.
Her aunts and Ihave agreed to take her shoping for a few things- but dang.

Now I have to try to find a place to put all the stuff  that is  in the boxes sitting in my living room.  I live in a 1 bedroom apartment.   ugh.   I don't want clutter but most of  it is memorabilia from when my kids were little or from my mother.   I suppose I should listen to my own preaching and get rid of it?  Can I do that?
The other stuff like the bread maker and noodle maker can go LOL.   My domestic days of lots of home cooking are over.

Onward,
nana
