Make yourself comfortable and ensure that you will not be disturbed for at least 15 minutes.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath allowing your breath to leave slowly.
Let yourself relax as much as you can.
Now visualise a circle marked on a clear floor.
See yourself standing on the edge of the circle and opposite you can see the person or object that represents that part of your past that you wish to let go of.
The object can be 'anything' and does not have to 'make sense' as it may be a symbolisation from your subconcious mind, eg: a box may symbolise being trapped in the past by restrictions on all sides of you.
Now see a rope attached to you and to the other person or object.
Decide what you need to cut the rope, eg: a sharp knife, a saw or perhaps your own strength.
Cut the rope and then walk away from the circle.
As you walk away try to 'feel' that you are walking into the future and if possible feel happy and confident about it.
