I am an American.

 

I love my country.

 

I love the freedom that I have in this  country.

 

Despite the daily hurdles that I face being a bi-sexual single mom who is black and with limited education there is no where else that I can live that I would be as happy.

 

Because I love this country I have the courage to not follow my leadership with blind admiration no matter how many times they tell me that the boogie man is kicking in my back door.

 

I do know that there are forces on this earth that would cripple my country given the chance.

 

I also know that to deal with these threats and preserve my freedom which I cherise we must begin with the most imminent threat and recruit allies and then take out our enemies in concentric circles.

 

I also know that is not what is happening.

 

I ask again, how can I support a president who has made the people of Iraq safer, and spent my tax dollars to rebuild their infrastructor when citizens like myself, who should be his priority are no safer today than we were Sept 10 2001 and our infrastrucure is crumbling before my eyes?
