My son doesn't talk a whole lot, so we give him lots of encouragement and praise when he does speak.
He watches a commercial on T.V. for Zoopals. It's a paper plate with animal faces on them for those who don't know. Anyway after the commercial was over he started chanting Zoopahs!!! LOL.
So of course I buy him some Zoopals. I figure it will reward him for speaking, right? So it's dinnertime and I pick out a duck face for him to eat his meal from. I show him the duck and I say Duck and Quack Quack. He repeats it. And when I first showed it to him he yelled, "Zoopahs!" Anyway I put his dinner on the plate and give his sister a plate too. Hers happened to be a duck as well. So what does he do? He dumps his plate so he can see the duck. Still holding his plate he dumps his sister's plate too. He grins and yells, "Zoopahs!!!" Then he gets down from the table and proceeds to "walk" the ducks around. He's chanting Zoopahs the whole time. It was so funny I couldn't even get mad at him, lol.
So to you all I say... "Zoopahs!!!!!"
