Guava Jelly: Two quart measures of guavas , 2 lemons. water.sugar Cut the guavas and the lemons , put in preserving pan. Cover with water.Simmer for about 2 hrs., Strain through jelly bag. Measure liquid obtained and allow 1 cup of liquid to 1cup sugar. Bring juice to boil, Add warmed sugar, Stir until dissolved. Boil hard until it will set. Test.Pour into heated jars and allow to cool. Pour melted wax over jelly . Cover jars.Store in cool dry place . A red jelly can be used as a condiment with cold meats |
