A work colleague of mine is married to a friend of Margaret Ferguson (Barry's wife), and he has confirmed that Ferguson would consider a move away from Ibrox if the terms were right for him. The family would stay up here though, as Ferguson is only a couple of years away from retirement and the kids are settled at school.

 

A bid from Newcastle United would be very interesting.
