Lots of people give celery. It has fiber but little else. It seems to be more a fun food since it crunches. I'm not sure about water chestnuts. Probably ok but hold them back for today and let me look in a few nutrition sites to be sure.

Here's people nutrition count on water chestnuts. They don't have nuch besides calories and fiber. You won't be feeding enough to worry about calories since it is in a veggie mix.  They are 86% water according to another site I found.

 

I have never seen any list of toxic foods that includes water chestnuts. I have fed them in a carrot and broccoli mix but not often since mine hate broccoli.

 

Maybe someone else here will know for sure.
