green apples  . I've taught him that when he wants one, mama gets a kiss. So i hold the apple and ask him repeatedly "max want a apple?" (i know its suppose to be AN apple, lol) then say "give me kiss" and he taps his beak on my cheek with the kissy sound and gets his apple  . He is such a kiss-butt when he wants an apple lol. |

oh yeah and hubby keeps trying to get him to say please, and saw me do that the other day......he says "what the heck, all i ask for is a simple please, and you get kisses?" LOL |

Uh.....I must be going about it all wrong! First - I don't get the CHANCE to ask them if they want something... and second, when I ask for something first (like a simple kiss) - I get screamed at! Bird Slave Crystal |

LOL! Thanks :) He's so cute......the other day I was eating a piece of chocolate in front of him (i realized it was bad, won't do that again) and he kept leaning in for a million kisses! He wanted a bite SO bad......so i scarfed it down and offered up an apple, which he LOVED....and i got another kiss, lol... I don't know what I do "right".....I hold up the apple and say "want the apple?" "Give me kiss"....and either he fights it and goes for the apple, or gives me a FAST kiss and lunges to the apple, lol. I don't give it to him unless he does what I ask first.......because apple is a treat to him, he only gets it if he's good :P |

oh and his kiss is basically smacking me with his beak lol....usually it's gentle, but if he's trying to be fast because he wants that apple, he just taps me. He doesn't try and tongue me anymore :P either, it's cheek kisses only. |
