Darn it! I take the cone off Raisin so she can eat. She and Chloe( the littlest frenchie) got into an agruement over a stuffie and the next thing I kow there was blood all over the floor!
This morning I took her back to the vet and she had to have most of her stitches back in. I am making sure she wears her cone, and stays away from her buddies til the stitches come out!
Who was the idiot who said pets were therapudic????If I were a drinking woman I'd be half in the bag by now! Nan

That theraputic theory went out the window long time ago.  Heck even having fish in a tank made my blood pressure go up.  Spent a fortune nursing sick $1.00 fish.

Back to poor Raisin.  How long does she have to have stiches in (if she ever will keep them in)  You are going to have to handfeed her. lol!

Darn it...Bully's aren't easy to do a favor for, are they?

When we got Zoey we fed her mother's milk replacer from a tiny baby bottle.  Of course the lunkhead, Wosie wanted a bottle, too.  Had to go to Safeway and get her a regular babybottle and give her some milk replacer, too.

Don forgot he was bottle-feeding Wosie and she pulled the nipple out and ate it and half of the plastic baby bottle.  Called the vet and he recommended we give her some OTC mineral oil as a laxative and he reassured me by saying: "Diana, you know, This too shall pass."  He hung up laughing his head off and calling his staff sayinng "Guess what Wosie has done now>>>>>."

English Bulldogs get into soooo much trouble without even trying!!!!

Here's my example of pet therapy that happened tonight!

Dog hears noise. Dog barks like madman. Charges after door, Gets caught on cord for lamp.  Lamp fell. Lamp Broke. Lamp put a nice dent into my end table.  Bird (without wings) flys.

I open up door and there is no one there!

Phooey, I wasn't laughing at Raisin. Dang, I am embarrassed.
Poor little dog.

I'm spending the night up at Jake's and tomorrow I pivk up Miss Raisin. I would like to put her in the worlds's largest hamster ball until she gets better. yep I have spent big bucks on 1.00 fish myself
I used to have a lot of tanks when my husband Danny was alive. We got this weird oscar fish that had a really bad temper, and hated it when you would move anything in his tank. One time he became enraghed when we moved his rocks around and decided to attack the largest rock and kapow. My kids were sure he committed sucide to get out of the house! Nan

Geeze Nan....that would be a grey hair making day for me!  That or I'd be pulling it out.  Anything like that just makes me jittery..even after all the years of doing rehab.  When stitches get pulled in sensitive areas..I get worried.  I sure hope she settles her little sweet butt down and heals!

Pets are therapeutic for me. Even sick ones. Even though Sonny is sick so often, when I hold either dog in my lap and stroke it, I nearly fall asleep. Hubby gets so tickled watching me with them. I need a dog to sleep with but my bed is so high off the floor, little legs would get broken if they fell or jumped off so they are left in the kitchen at night.

Nan, I'm so sorry that you and Raisin are having such a hard time with her stitches.  I will be praying that things will start going better for her.  Kathy
