How many cockatoos do you own or is this your first? And if he is your first how do you like him so far.  I just got a Citron crested cockatoo and he is the first cockatooo I've ever owned. I've had him for 2 weeks now and Ijust love him to bits. Everybody warned me about Cockatoos about how they scream and if you don't pay enough attention to them they will become vicious and attack or pluck all their feathers out  I for love my new Cockatoo I have not seen any of these behaviors yet In my Cockatoo Hes the sweetest cuddle muffin you ever seen but he can and does play by himself for hours He loves cardboard boxes he climbs inside them and chews them from the inside out. he likes to make a little hole in the side of the box first and he plays peek-a-boo at you through that little hole he makes. when I got him the wood perch from the playtop on his cage was missing so all there was was a steel bar so I got a natural perch from a huge birch tree and screwd it onto the steel bar he loves it I noticed he s started chewing the bark at each end. I also got one for Tycos cage because the perches that came with it are to big and too heavy anyway I hope you have lots of fun with your new utoo. If he does scream don't go to him until he's quiet or he will never stop screaming. I didn't pay any attention to MrMagoo when I first got him if he was screaming and then when he was quiet I would go and give him a pet and a cuddle he soon realized that if he's quiet he gets more attention he doesn't scream much at all anymore  Pat

No this is not my first cockatoo. In October I rescued Tara a little Goffin Cockatoo who was neglected and physically abused when we went to see her the woman hit Tara twice  with the back of her hand while we were there..........Gezzz I can't understand why she is so phobic of hands and everything else....
How do I like Tukki???? well I had Tukki in my home before and it didn't last only a few days and we took her back to her owner not knowing that we shouldn't get her all worked with all of us there with her....She attacked my husband and brought the blood out of him then she turned on my daughter lunged at my son and bite the dog......lol.It was our fault for not knowing any better.
This time around it is going so much better we only interact with her on a 1 on 1 basis and don't get her all worked up we are keeping everything nice and calm until she settles in and has had time to grieve the loss of her old family.
Don't get me wrong there are times when she is displaying,at that moment I know she is happy she is accepting pets and scratches and little kisses on the top of her head...this morning my daughter Tukki's favorite person was done getting ready for school a little bit early she had on a black t-shirt and a black jacket Kelcy sat on the chair and tukki came over being sneaky and was looking at the silver buttons on the jacket the next thing we knew she was on Kelcy's lap under her jacket snuggling .....lol
Kelcy went to school with a grey jacket ..
I fell in love instantly with Tukki the first time I had her it broke my heart to take her back and the lady knew that so when she called me and said I have to find Tukki a home and would you be interested?I wanted to scream YES YES YES but I told her I had to talk it over with my husband and I would get back to her....I called her the next day and said sure I would love to take her and I am still in love with this little girl

Our Mica doesn't weight anywhere near to what Tukki does and she is as healthy as a horse... Flies and plays non stop...
I believe Mica weighs 365 gr.
I have had and raised G2's in the past and they have never weighed anywhere close to 455 grams... Or am I mixing up a Too with another bird you have?

Ooops it looks like Tukki is an U2
I need to weigh my guys.... General is small but he is a wild caught and a regular wild Too isn't as large as the domesticated U2's....
Sorry for the mix up.....

Thats great that you got Tukki back I love a happy ending the story about your daughter this morning was sooo cute made my day a little brighter. The same thing happened to me the other night when I was going to work I was wearing a black tee shirt and thought I would give Mr. Magoo a little cuddle before I went to work just to say a little nicer good-bye well my t shirt was very grey by the time we finished cuddleing black and Cockatoos definatly don't get along very well or mabie they get along to well either way it all comes out grey   Pat
